Betty's Burgers downtown Santa Cruz is number 1! Ask for Anthony, he was amazing server and took great care of us! Loved the upbeat staff. Everyone was friendly and hard workers. Come and support them. We will be back. The food and drinks were scrumptious too.

But here I am, rethinking every life choice that led me to a world where I wasn't eating these burgers daily. The patties? Juicier than my search history. The fries? Hotter than my last mistake. And the shakes? If loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right. But let's talk about the real stars of the show: Logan, the server with the reflexes of a ninja and the charm of a con artist who could sell me my own wallet, and Noah, the manager who runs this place with the precision of a mafia boss--calm, collected, and making sure everything is *handled*. Logan had our table stocked with everything before we could even ask--napkins, refills, moral support. And Noah? If he ran for office, I'd vote twice. Bottom line: Betty's Burgers is the kind of place that could ruin marriages, diets, and financial stability. But honestly? Worth it. 10/10, would risk it all again.

Logan and Noah are the best servers. They always make me feel like the bell of the ball. The cheese curds make me wanna scream from the rooftops "I love Betty's". The ambiance of this resturant says "this is your grandmas house" and she gonna make you eaaaaaat. Logan is great but he's a little to tall, he's 6'3 I'm more of a 6'2 kinda guy. Noah is great to, great DT impressions but could be better. He's a fan of the dodgers and I'm not a fan of the dodgers so minus 1 point for gryffindor. Overall 5 out of 5

Started coming around a month ago, NOV2024ish. Recently started working in the downtown area. I am a semi self-aware burger snob. So far, I have tried 4 burgers on the menu, all the fries, and standard white girl alcohol. #basic I have no plans of picking a favorite yet. Maybe I'll work my way through the menu. The service has been so warm and welcoming each visit. I am a little surprised more people don't dine here for lunch, but the area offers a wide variety with many delicious options. For great quality American fare, this is the spot. Music is typically good, but the sound design of the place is wonk. Not holding that against them. It adds to the eccentricity of the joint and I am here for it. Specific recommendations: Smokin Betty, Basic Betty, Tex, onion rings, sweet potato fires, curly, garlic, and regular. All are bomb. 9/10. Micheladas (did i spell that right?) are good. The only thing these sides didn't do was fold my laundry.

Sit down version of Betty's Burgers with a bar and some alcoholic additions. Great: Smokin' Betty burger - honestly a massive burger. They only cook it one way (well done), but it came out very well, with a solid construction and a good amount of bacon on it. Orange Creamsicle adult shake - more emphasis on the cream with hint of orange, which is honestly my preference. I was afraid it would be pretty boozy, but the flavor hides it very well. Or maybe it's just light on the liquor? Either way, the taste is on point! Good: Curly fries - unbattered, but very evenly fried and no hint of old oil in the flavor. A little light on the seasoning, but still really good with some ketchup or ranch. Sweet potato fries - again, solid frying on these and no taste of old oil. Also pretty bland and in need of some dipping sauce. Overall, nicely executed on some classic fast casual fare. Service was a little on the slow side, even when the restaurant was at maybe half capacity. Perhaps they're understaffed?
